For the final fairytale, I’m going to a place they call GANGLAND. In other words, I’m taking it back to the streets. And, when writing, it’s my favorite place to be 🙌🏾

Mikhail was never the type to yearn for love. When it came to his heart, he ignored it to focus on making money. But after enduring a gang war that had him losing close friends left and right, he comes out as the official king of the streets but is left to grieve everyone he lost in order to claim the throne.

They say it’s lonely at the top but for Mikhail, this is the loneliest he’s ever been. For the first time, he realizes that what he needs more than ever, is a woman to come home to at night. Someone who feels like home, so he can really open up enough to finally experience love. The second he sees Alice, on a night when he least expected, he knows that the woman he wants… is her.

For Alice, the only thing important in life was to be great. Since the time that she could remember, she felt the need to prove that she was so much more than her past. More than a drug dealing father and a coke-addicted mother.  More than the child they had but didn’t want. She wanted to be recognized for being the best at everything she did, despite her initial circumstances, and she vowed never to stop until she got there.

It’s her thirst for recognition that lands her right in the middle of what many call Gangland, working undercover at the neighborhood barbershop. Placed there to investigate a gang leader suspected of ordering a slew of homicides that rocked the city, Alice was prepared to encounter nearly everything. But she never expected to find the one man on Earth capable of showing her real love.

Although she tries to resist him, the one thing Mikhail is an expert at is applying pressure. What he wants, he gets, and she’s no different. When Ali throws caution to the wind to follow her heart, it’s a decision that sends her entire world spinning.

What is she going to do when Mikhail finds out that she isn’t who she says she is? Will it simply be the end of a fantasy or the end of her life? Most importantly, how can she destroy Mikhail’s life when he’s the best thing that happened in hers?

The deeper she falls, the more she longs for clarity, all she gets in return is confusion.
